Use AI and 3D printing to solve a real manufacturing problem

This 12-week challenge takes high-school teams from research to a printed prototype and a final pitch. After the course, teams can enter the 2027 SME Digital Manufacturing Challenge, and they can also enter Make:able 2027.

Future Makers AI × Digital Manufacturing Challenge

November 2026 to late January 2027 · once a week · 2 hours per session

12 weeks, 2 hours each week. Students research a real problem, build an AI workflow, design in CAD, print a prototype, present the project, and follow links to the SME and Make:able competition pages.
